Chrome extension
No public release yet
Before installing
This is a manually installed extension distributed by Chatters Club outside the Chrome Web Store. You need an authorized workspace account and an assigned creator. Read our data and permissions disclosure, privacy policy and terms. Conversation text is sent to our backend and AI inference service when you request a suggestion and is stored in production.
Install the ZIP manually
- Download the ZIP above and extract it to a permanent folder such as Documents/ChattersClub. Keep that folder; Chrome reads the extension from it.
- Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome and turn on Developer mode. - Select Load unpacked and choose the extracted folder containing
manifest.json. - Pin Chatters Club from the Extensions toolbar menu, open it and sign in. On an admin-supported conversation page, select your creator, read and accept the data disclosure, and choose Enable.
- Request a suggestion, review it, insert the draft and send manually.
Update a manual ZIP installation
The popup checks the official release version when opened and links here when an update is available. If the check fails, you can always check this page. Unpacked extensions never update silently; Chrome’s Update button does not download our ZIP.
- Finish or discard pending drafts, then download and extract the latest ZIP to a temporary folder.
- Replace the files in the same permanent extension folder with the new files. Remove obsolete files; do not remove the extension in Chrome or move its folder if you want to retain local settings.
- Open
chrome://extensionsand click the extension’s Reload button. Confirm its version matches this page. - Refresh open conversation tabs. Sign in or renew consent if prompted.
Verify your download
Compare the ZIP’s SHA-256 with the value above. Linux: sha256sum filename.zip; macOS: shasum -a 256 filename.zip; Windows PowerShell: Get-FileHash filename.zip -Algorithm SHA256. Download only from this website.
Browser restrictions and troubleshooting
Developer mode installations may show browser warnings and may be blocked by your organization. If Load unpacked is unavailable, contact your browser administrator. Ordinary Windows and macOS Chrome installations cannot install a self-hosted CRX as a replacement for a store release; managed enterprise distribution requires administrator policies. Linux has separate packed-extension hosting support. This ZIP route uses Developer mode and manual updates.
If Chrome reports a missing manifest, choose the inner folder that contains manifest.json. If the panel is missing, refresh the tab, check login and site access, and ask an admin to publish the site definition. Disable a site in the popup; uninstall with Remove in chrome://extensions. Uninstalling removes local extension data, not server records.
